From someone who's lived it
I know this because I lived the alternative.
For a long time, I was inconsistently attracting clients.
Some I loved. Many I didn't. And I couldn't have told you why.
I was going after the client I'd been told to go after: the resume, the income bracket, the "avatar" from the worksheet. I kept trying to make that person fit, even though she wasn't the person I enjoyed working with.
So I stepped back & asked a different question: Who do I actually love helping? And what is in the way of attracting her?
What I found underneath was a handful of old conclusions.
A fear. "If I get that specific, I'll lose everyone else."
A belief. "I should be grateful for whoever shows up."
A bit of shame. "Wanting it to feel easier makes me less worthy."
I was raised in a farming family that deeply values hard work, sacrifice & struggle. (I started working in the fields at 6 years old.) So I had to question the idea that struggle made me more worthy & let go of the shame of wanting my work to feel easy, spacious & joyful.
One of the tools that helped me see this most clearly was Human Design.
Not as a label. Not as a box. But as a deeply validating blueprint that showed me who I naturally attract, what those people are seeking & why some clients felt so draining.
Suddenly, my past struggles made sense.
And once I gave myself permission to go after the person I actually love working with, she started showing up… again and again.

What this looks like in real life
I recently worked with a client who was beyond busy.
Constantly networking, always posting, endlessly trying to bring people in. And still, the clients she attracted pushed back, challenged her, and demanded a lot. Her work stopped feeling satisfying because she was constantly shape-shifting to meet their needs.
When I asked who she helps, she listed four big, meaningful things they are wanting: self-expression, self-love, worthiness, abundance. All beautiful. All important. More of her dream clients started showing up, and it felt effortless.
That clarity came because we found and removed what was in the way. That's the shift this work creates.
